About

My name is Tanya and I am a native of Central Florida. First and foremost: I Love to Cook! I am also looking for ways to merge my other loves – family and genealogy into my search for the next great meal.

Testing and sharing new recipes is what calms me and excites me all at the same time. While others are busy planning their next vacation, I get truly excited planning the next family meal. Creating something new and unique, or maybe classic and comforting, is one of my greatest interests.

An equally exciting endeavor is my search for family history…the never ending quest for my ancestors. One of the most interesting ways to relate to your ancestors is to eat the way they would have eaten. This endeavor is a new chapter in improving my culinary and genealogy skills. I hope you enjoy and are inspired to search for your family’s next great meal too!

  1. Nice blog Tanya. I cant wait for all the recipes that are sure to come. Now I have a place to come and get your recipes instead of calling you all the time.

  2. Like.
I will have to try your recipe, it is the first one I’ve seen with sour cream.
As a native of Florida myself, I’ve tried lots of recipes – it was my father’s favorite dessert and I made it for him on special occasions. You should try to grow your own key limes, they fruit all year round and are a great substitute for lemons and limes.

    Thanks for sharing…
